Ira P. Goldberg graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois (magna cum laude, 1980) and the University of Illinois College of Law (J.D., summa cum laude, 1983). He received the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law. He has specialized in debtor-creditor relations, with emphasis on bankruptcy law, for over twenty years. He has represented diverse interests in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases, inclusive of debtors, creditors (administrative, secured and unsecured), creditor committees, landlords, asset purchasers and trustees. Ira’s articles have appeared in several publications, and he is a contributing author for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education 2001 Edition of Secured Transactions. Ira has been voted by his peers as highly qualified in his field.
