Jeffrey S. McDonald, a graduate of The John Marshall Law School (1987), brings to Di Monte & Lizak his background not only as a lawyer, but as a C. P. A. with an M.S. in Taxation. For six years, he was a prosecutor assigned to the Financial and Government Fraud Unit of the Cook County State's Attorney's office in Chicago. Jeff was responsible for prosecuting many high profile cases involving embezzlement, insurance fraud, conspiracy, and most recently, high technology computer crimes. In 1992, he was certified as a fraud examiner by the National Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Jeff concentrates his practice in the areas of closely held businesses and estate planning. Jeff has lectured extensively in this area and in the area of computer and telecommunications fraud. Jeff is a co-author with Lin Hanson of the Illinois Corporation System and software developer of the Illinois Forms System.
